What happened (confirmed)
Amazon’s Holiday 2026 Seller Central notice still stands: the Prime Big Deal Days deal submission window runs July 8 through September 8, 2026. That is tomorrow. Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday submissions stay open through October 20. Deal fees are unchanged from Prime Day: $100 upfront per promotion plus 1.5% of promotional sales, capped at $5,000. The early-submission $50 discount windows are gone (August 5 for Big Deal Days; September 5 for Black Friday / Cyber Monday). Primary: Amazon Seller Central, “Holiday 2026: Same fees, same eligibility, earlier deadlines.”
Prime Big Deal Days promotional prices are excluded from the 30-day and 60-day lookback, so an October deal does not poison your November deal price. Peak fulfillment fees still apply October 15, 2026 through January 14, 2027 at the same average $0.32 per-unit lift, with the 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge on top.
The inbound clock is still running
Deal submission and inventory arrival are not the same deadline. To keep Prime-badge eligibility for Big Deal Days, inventory has to arrive at Amazon facilities by:
• September 9: FBA with “minimal shipment splits”
• September 16: FBA with “Amazon-optimized shipment splits” (what most sellers select)
• AWD for Big Deal Days already hit September 2
Why this matters
If you miss September 8, you are not in the paid deal slate for the event that kicks off Q4. You can still run coupons and price discounts later. You lose the event merchandising surface most brands budget against. Miss the inbound date and you can still sell, but you may lose the Prime badge when traffic shows up. That is an organic ranking problem that turns into an ads problem.
Who it affects most
Brands that kept “we’ll submit next week” on the board. Catalogs with deals priced on summer fees instead of peak landed cost. Teams using Amazon-optimized splits who still have runway to September 16 on inventory, but none left on deals. Anyone who already missed AWD’s September 2 clock and is pretending Big Deal Days inventory is still flexible.
What sellers should do today
1. Submit remaining Prime Big Deal Days deals in Seller Central before September 8 closes. Price them on peak fulfillment math, not August fees.
2. Confirm each deal ASIN has a realistic receive-by: September 9 for minimal splits, September 16 for Amazon-optimized splits.
3. Do not wait on the early discount. That window is closed. Pay the standard fee or skip the ASIN.
4. Keep Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals moving. That window stays open to October 20. The early $50 cut closed September 5.
5. If capacity is tight, use Capacity Manager now. Receiving load peaks in September and October before Amazon shifts harder to outbound in November.
Our take
We already covered the inbound calendar. Today’s problem is simpler: the deal window is measured in hours. Brands that treat September 8 like a soft reminder will watch competitors take the event real estate they planned to buy. Submit the deals that clear contribution margin at peak cost. Park the ones that only work on summer fees. Then finish the inbound so the badge is there when the traffic lands.
